    Restaurant design is an argument between two numbers: covers and comfort. Every extra seat adds revenue capacity and subtracts from the experience that makes people come back, and the plan is where that argument gets settled. Generic interior AI renders beautiful rooms with impossible seat counts and no server access.

    Cover density is a positioning decision

    Space per cover is the fastest way to read a restaurant's segment from a drawing. Fast-casual formats sit tight, casual dining sits in the middle, and fine dining allows roughly twice the space per cover that a quick-service room does — often in the region of 2 to 2.5 square metres per cover including circulation, against something closer to 1.1 to 1.4 at the fast end. Choosing a density and designing to it produces a coherent room; drifting between them produces a room that feels confused and prices badly.

    Then there is the split nobody enjoys. Back-of-house — kitchen, wash-up, cold and dry store, staff facilities — typically claims something like 30 to 40 per cent of the total area in a full-service restaurant. Concepts that pretend otherwise get a beautiful dining room and a kitchen that cannot produce the menu, which is discovered late and fixed expensively. Decide the split before the styling.

    Circulation, acoustics and the two complaints you will get

    Server aisles want roughly 1.05m of clear width so staff can pass a seated diner with a tray, and the main customer route through the room wants about 1.2m. Design the server route so it never crosses the entrance queue or the path to the toilets, and keep at least one route to the kitchen that does not pass through the best tables. These are unglamorous lines on a plan that determine whether service feels calm at full capacity.

    Acoustics generate more negative reviews than food presentation. Hard floors, hard ceilings, glass and bare tables produce a room that becomes unusable at eighty per cent occupancy. The fixes are all design decisions made early: an acoustically absorbent ceiling, upholstered banquettes, textile on some vertical surfaces, and a ceiling height that is not uniformly low. Say 'acoustically treated, banquette seating, soft ceiling' in the brief and the render will reflect a room that is actually pleasant to sit in.

    Lighting sets the price point

    Restaurant lighting runs warm and low — commonly 2400K to 2700K in the dining room — with the light concentrated on tables and faces rather than the floor. The technique is contrast: a pool of light on each table, a darker envelope around it, and accents on the things you want seen, such as a bar back, a feature wall or an open pass. A uniformly lit dining room reads as a canteen no matter how expensive the furniture is.

    Because the render holds your plan's real geometry, it is usable with the people who gate a restaurant fit-out: the landlord, the licensing surveyor, the kitchen consultant, the investor.     Can it show a realistic number of covers for my space?
    It renders seating at the density you describe within your plan's real dimensions. Ask for a fast-casual density or a fine-dining density and the same room comes back with visibly different seat counts and spacing.
    Does it account for the kitchen?
    The render focuses on the customer-facing room, but your plan's back-of-house area is respected rather than absorbed into the dining room, so what you see is a dining room that could coexist with a working kitchen.
    Can I try different cuisines or moods on the same plan?
    Yes. Describe the direction in plain language and generate variations — the same floor plan will come back as a warm trattoria, a dark cocktail-led room or a bright all-day cafe-restaurant for comparison.
    Will it design the bar as well?
    Yes. Target the bar as the subject and the render frames it specifically — back bar, service well, seating relationship — while keeping the design language locked to the rest of the room.
    What input do I need to start?
