The modern floor is a demonstration space — powered tables, live product, staff who walk the floor rather than stand behind a counter — and every one of those decisions has a power, data and fixture consequence that has to be designed in, not added later.

    Give the highest-value categories a staffed, slightly more contained zone rather than open floor. High-value product needs supervision and it also benefits from a calmer sales conversation; an alcove or partial enclosure delivers both, and reads as premium rather than defensive if the materials are right.

    Lighting: the category where light can lie

    Electronics wants neutral light, commonly around 4000K, so screens and white goods read true and product colour is not shifted by a warm cast. This is one of the few retail categories where warm lighting actively misrepresents the product. Keep the general level reasonably high and even across demo areas so the floor feels bright and current.

    Reflections are the specific hazard. Glossy screens, glass cabinets and polished floors bounce every bright source straight into the customer's eye and make displayed screens unreadable. Use wide, diffused sources and indirect light over demo tables rather than tight spots directly above glossy surfaces, and avoid a high-gloss floor finish under a bright lighting grid. Describe the intent when generating — 'neutral, diffused, low-glare over demo tables' — and the render will reflect it.
