Industrial homeware store interior design · evening

Design notes
- Materials
- Black steel, reclaimed timber and speckled concrete make a hard-wearing base, against which cream linens and white stoneware read strongly and look warm.
- Lighting
- Rows of directional spots light the tables, while small pendants and glowing wall niches add pockets of warmth. The backlit shelves at the rear draw the eye through the room.
- Layout
- Open-frame tables sit in a loose grid with uneven gaps, so people zigzag and circle them, which suits browsing rather than direct routes.
- Display
- Because the tables are open underneath, cushions and throws sit on a lower tier beneath the plates. Tins and candles on the front edge invite pick-up on the way in.
Try this: Open-frame fixtures let you stack two product layers per table without blocking sightlines, so a small floor can carry more stock.
