Design notes
- Materials
- Terrazzo, walnut veneer, black steel and white marble give a refined, boutique feel. The dark shelves make pale boxes and bottles look crisp.
- Lighting
- A rectangle of recessed linear light overhead and strips under each shelf brighten the products. Track spots and the street window supply the rest.
- Layout
- Black gondolas are set at angles to the counter, so shoppers drift towards it naturally. The glazed partition lets staff and stock be seen while keeping the dispensing area separate.
- Display
- Products stand in lit niches at eye level and on glass-edged gondola shelves. Fewer items per shelf and generous space around them present medicines and skincare as considered purchases.
Try this: Glaze the dispensing area rather than walling it off so it feels open but still has a clear boundary.
