Minimal grocery store interior design · day

Design notes
- Materials
- Oak, grey concrete and black steel keep the shop plain, which lets the food's colours do the talking. Paper bags and timber crates suggest natural produce.
- Lighting
- A skylight and long linear fittings light the middle of the room, and track lights cover the right wall. Pendants over the back counter give a friendly glow.
- Layout
- The aisles are wide enough for two people to pass with a basket. The till sits at the back, so customers see the range before they pay.
- Display
- Dry goods are stacked at eye level, milk and juice bottles grouped in a chilled bay, and produce tilted in crates. Each category has its own wall or bay.
Try this: Show fresh produce along a long side wall so it is the first thing people notice.
