Design notes
- Materials
- White shelves, pale oak slats and a smooth polished floor keep the room clinical but not cold. Blue and green on the packs form the colour code.
- Lighting
- Even track lighting, broad daylight from the glazing and a backlit counter front keep faces and labels easy to read. There are no dark corners in the room.
- Layout
- Gondolas stand low enough to see over, and the aisle between them leads straight to the counter. The sight of staff from the entrance reassures customers who need advice.
- Display
- Boxes are lined up in neat horizontal bands along the walls, with bottles on the gondola ends. Grouping packs by colour makes categories quick to scan for a shopper in a hurry.
Try this: Keep gondolas below eye height so customers can always see the dispensing counter from the door.
