Minimal café interior design · evening

Design notes
- Materials
- Olive leather, light oak, black table tops and marble keep the palette tight, and the ribbed counter front adds texture to a plain shell.
- Lighting
- Daylight from tall windows is supported by a slim linear light over the counter and a few drum pendants, so the seating area stays brighter than the work zone.
- Layout
- The counter and the bench seating run parallel with a clear aisle between them, so queues and sitters do not collide.
- Display
- A glass pastry case runs along the counter top, right in the queue line, and bean bags on shelves above the machines give a second sales prompt.
Try this: Place the pastry case where the queue forms, so people can look at it while they wait instead of turning away.
